About Us.
#NotUsSC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes in South Carolina by creating and sharing culturally sound health education materials to parents and families, their support networks and the community.
Founded in 2018 as a social media campaign, #NotUsSC has grown into a statewide initiative that develops easy-to-understand tools about urgent maternal warning signs, perinatal mental health, and advocacy in healthcare settings.
Our materials, like "Girl Dad 101", "Becoming an Auntie", and "Mimi's Guide to Postpartum" are distributed through trusted spaces like churches, beauty salons, barbershops, and community centers.
We make sure South Carolina families have the knowledge and tools they need—because no one should die giving life.
Not me. Not her. Not us. Not anymore.
